Special Education, active Special Education Teacher license and
minimum 1 years Special Education Teacher experience required.

considered. A Life Skills Special Education Teacher is needed for
an elementary school in Houston, TX, to provide focused instruction
to K-12 students with special needs. This contract position offers
a 37.5-hour work week over 5 days, designed to support students in
developing essential life skills and academic progress within a
structured environment. Key responsibilities include: -
Implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to each
student's abilities and goals - Delivering specialized instruction
to students with varying disabilities across the K-12 age range -
Collaborating closely with classroom teachers, therapists, and
families to ensure comprehensive support - Monitoring and
documenting student progress in alignment with state and school
standards - Adapting teaching methods and materials to meet diverse
learning styles and abilities Qualifications: - Valid Texas Special
Education (SPED) teaching license is required - Experience working
with students in special education settings, preferably with life
skills focus - Strong communication and teamwork skills to
effectively engage with students, parents, and staff - Ability to
manage classroom behavior and create an inclusive learning
