us!Job Description:The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will be
responsible for day-to-day oversight of production processes and
equipment. The senior manufacturing engineer will partner with the
production team to identify, resolve, and overcome issues related
to manufacturing with velocity to ensure our organization's metrics
are met.The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will establish
manufacturing processes for new products, including process
characterization and validation, and perform assessments for
continuous improvement opportunities after initial release.With a
quality-first mindset, this person will be responsible for making
and influencing tactical decisions for production issue resolution.
This person will be accountable for ensuring production issues are
addressed appropriately and will be a key contributor to those
resolutions through active participation and technical direction.
The Senior Manufacturing Engineer will have a high-level of
accountability for on-time execution and implementation of
organizational objectives and will partner closely with their
sister site to ensure alignment on timing and execution of those
objectives.Key Responsibilities Include:
- Oversight of tactical day-to-day responses to production issues
while prioritizing quality and working within our quality system
without exception
- Ownership of process characterization and process validation
(IQ/OQ/PQ, TMV, etc.) of new processes
- Driving continuous improvement activities with a focus on
quality, scalability/throughput, and cost reduction
- Quickly gaining and consistently applying strong understanding
of the quality system as it relates to production and
manufacturing
- Being a go-to resource for technical/equipment/process issue
resolution
- Partnering with the production team to understand the tactical
and long-term needs of the manufacturing environment
- Translating issues into opportunities for improvement and
driving those improvements through successful implementations of
long-term fixes
- Training and certifying production team members
- Using sound decision-making skills which lead to outcomes
aligned with our core values
- Coordination with core team members on project planning and
implementation to ensure organizational and company goals are
met
- Participating in financial planning activities to outline
equipment, staffing, and budget needed to ensure successful
execution of objectives
- Communicating openly, honestly, and respectfully with all
levels of peers within and outside of your direct team with the
intent of cross-functional successRequirements:
- Strong understanding of process control strategies
- Experience with and desire to work in a production
environment
- Minimum 5 years' experience in a regulated manufacturing
environment having shown consistent increases in level of
responsibility
- Ability to lead by example by actively participating in issue
identification and resolution
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability
to communicate effectively at all levels of the organization
- Strong desire to develop and mentor those within and outside of
direct team
- Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, including
Mathematics and Physics
- Working knowledge of formalized problem-solving processes
- Ability to work in office, lab, and production floor
environmentsSpecifications/Other:
- Physical abilities (must be able to lift 50 lbs.)
- Mental abilities (Use a computer 8 hours per day)
- Working Conditions (Regular office environment; require the
ability to sit, stand and work at a desk)
