Full- and part-time candidates considered - earn guaranteed base

Office hours are Monday thru Friday 7 AM to 6 PM. Doctor hours are
8 AM to 6 PM. The Role The Associate Veterinarian works with the
Medical Director and Practice Manager to define and implement
practice medical policies and procedures that ensure quality
patient care. They deliver medical, surgical and dental care to
patients. They play a key role in building and maintaining client
and staff relationships. They may assist in supervising staff
members in their daily medical duties when the PM is not in the
practice to oversee this important function. This is a leadership
position with the important responsibility of ensuring a positive
work environment in which the practice can achieve its goals. The
Requirements D.V.M. License in state of practice. D.E.A. License in
state of practice. Experience as a D.V.M. in practice is desirable,

Hospital Long Drive Dog and Cat Hospital is a multi-doctor hospital
and growing! Our hospital has a unique role in the Houston area as
a general practice that has long-standing history in the area. We
provide well-pet visits and preventative diagnostics, as well as
sick, injured, and urgent care. Medical Director Position Long
Drive Dog and Cat Hospital is looking for an experienced DVM who
wants to advance their career. Do you have leadership tendencies?
Do you like to make good, better, and the better, best? A Medical
Director position might be what you are looking for. At Long Drive
Dog and Cat Hospital, the Medical Director (MD) works together with
the Practice Manager (PM) to oversee one of Houston's oldest vet
practices. The Leadership Team at Long Drive Dog and Cat Hospital
starts with a great friendship between you and the PM. You will
provide medical advice to our team of Associate DVM's and help the
PM with Standard Operating Procedures (SOP). While we are not yet
an AAHA practice, that is a goal located in our crosshairs. We
would like an MD who is a successful surgeon, understands the
multiple facets of a large practice, will work with the PM to
roadmap our growth, and help with training DVMs and staff. This is
a dynamic roll in a practice whose growth is only limited by your
drive and determination. Located within 20 miles of everything you
need in Houston and less than 1 hour to the Galveston beaches. The
Role The Medical Director is responsible for providing leadership
for the hospital, managing Associate Veterinarians and assuring
regulatory compliance related to the practice of veterinary
medicine. The Medical Director will define, implement, and promote
medical policies and procedures that ensure quality patient care.
This position will ultimately be responsible for directing,
coordinating, and supervising all aspects of veterinary medicine at
the hospital. The Medical Director will also partner with the
Practice Manager to ensure outstanding business practices and a
high degree of professionalism in the clinic/hospital. The Medical
Director is responsible for managing the financial performance of
the hospital and meeting budget expectations. In addition, the
Practice Manager and Medical Director are responsible for directing
staff and the overall management of the practice to ensure best
practices and quality care. The Medical Director will also consult
with Blue River PetCare on administrative matters, capital
purchases, and human resource matters as needed. The Requirements
D.V.M. License in state of practice. D.E.A. License in state of
practice. A minimum of 5 years of experience as a D.V.M. in
practice is required. Ability to lead the staff with confidence and
a strong work ethic as well as work as a team member and doctor.
Strong business acumen and comprehensive understanding of hospital
