This role involves creating and executing tailored care plans, assessing patient progress, and working collaboratively with healthcare teams and families. Additionally, the therapist supervises assistants and aims to enhance the quality of life for patients through personalized therapy. Key Responsibilities (may vary by client): Assess patients with physical, psychosocial, and/or cognitive challenges to identify how occupational therapy can enhance their quality of life. Develop, implement, and review patient care plans in collaboration with physicians and the care team to promote or sustain patient well-being. Maintain comprehensive documentation of care provided and engage in care coordination with other team members. Educate and train caregivers and family members of patients. Oversee Certified Occupational Therapist Assistants and Aides, ensuring that patient care aligns with individual needs.
