ADEX Healthcare Staffing LLC is seeking a travel nurse RN PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care for a travel nursing job in Pearland, Texas. Job Description & Requirements Specialty: PreOp / PACU - Post Anesthesia Care Discipline: RN Start Date: ASAP Duration: 13 weeks 36 hours per week Shift: 12 hours, days Employment Type: Travel RN Position Job Notes: Travel or Local Registered Nurse needed for ASAP start. A minimum of 2 years of recent hospital bedside experience is required. Candidates must be able to start within 5 weeks. Opportunity for extension upon successful completion of the initial assignment. $750 referral bonus available. Opportunity: RN - PACU Job Details: • Work in Pre-op/PACU unit with 9 pre-op beds and 9 PACU bays • Day shift staffing includes 1 CNC and 5-6 RNs per shift • Night shift coverage is call-based only • Maintain 1-2 patients per nurse ratio • Work with equipment including glucometer, EKG, bladder scanner, and Mobilab • Use Meditech EMR system • Required certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS • PACU experience required • Preferred qualifications include PALS, Meditech experience, and prior HCA experience • Handle typical procedures including orthopedic surgery, general surgery, colorectal surgery, urological surgery, and gynecological surgery • Must maintain positive attitude with proactive and efficient workflow • Must work well within a team environment • Follow safety rounds with updates at minimum every hour • Provide family updates to waiting area • Call coverage with fulltime staff rotation approximately 5 shifts consisting of call and late shifts • Wear facility dispensed scrubs • No floating required Facility: This healthcare facility features a comprehensive surgical services department with dedicated pre-operative and post-anesthesia care units.
