Job Description:

Encompass Health Corporation is seeking a dedicated Speech Pathologist to join our multidisciplinary rehabilitation team, providing both facility-based and home-based services. The ideal candidate will specialize in diagnosing and treating communicative and swallowing disorders in patients recovering from varied medical conditions, ensuring comprehensive patient-focused care that helps patients regain abilities and confidence. This role involves working closely with patients of all ages who are experiencing difficulties due to illness, injury, or disabilities. Our aim is to foster a supportive environment that contributes to patient recovery, utilizing state-of-the-art equipment and progressive treatment philosophies that Encompass Health is known for. Assess and diagnose speech, language, and swallowing disorders. Formulate individualized treatment plans that promote optimal functioning and independence. Provide therapeutic interventions to address speech and language barriers. Educate patients and families on management techniques and communication strategies. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to plan and evaluate treatment programs. Keep detailed records and report on patient progress. Adapt treatment plans based on patient progress and feedback. Expertise in diagnosing and treating speech and language disorders. Ability to use various speech therapy techniques and equipment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills. Capacity for patient management and care planning. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance Vision Insurance 401k Valid state license in Speech-Language Pathology. Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association.
