Job Description:
Memorial Hermann, a cornerstone of healthcare excellence in
Texas, is currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered
Nurse for our Post-Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU). The ideal candidate
will be responsible for providing top-tier patient care and support
during the critical postoperative period, adhering to our mission
of enhancing health through exceptional medical services, patient
satisfaction, and clinical excellence. This role requires a
compassionate professional with a solid background in PACU or
critical care, keen observation skills, and the ability to make
quick, informed decisions. Monitor post-anesthesia patients and
assess levels of consciousness. Administer medications as
prescribed and monitor for reactions or complications. Record
patient's vital signs and maintain accurate, detailed reports.
Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and health
maintenance. Ensure the safety and comfort of patients as they
recover from anesthesia. Collaborate with anesthesiologists,
surgeons, and other medical professionals. Implement patient care
plans and interventions effectively. Strong clinical skills in a
surgical or critical care setting. Excellent decision-making and
problem-solving skills. Proficient in using medical software and
patient management systems. Medical Insurance Dental Insurance
Vision Insurance Life Insurance Current RN license in the state of
Texas. BLS certification (Basic Life Support). ACLS certification
(Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support). PALS certification
(Pediatric Advanced Life Support) is a plus.
