Mammography Coordinator assists with overseeing the operational
aspects of the mobile mammography program, including compliance,
inspections, accreditation, and equipment and vehicle maintenance
concerns. Serves as the primary contact for upcoming mobile coach
events, works with Medical Imaging Scheduling team to fully utilize
the resource, functions as a trainer, and reports employee training
and performance concerns to Supervisor. The Mobile Mammography
Coordinator functions as a working Mammography Technologist and
Mobile Coach Driver as needed. Hours must be flexible with possible
weekend hours. Primary Responsibilities: - Upon the order of a
qualified physician, performs diagnostic and/or screening
mammography to include general radiographic studies, if applicable,
according to policies, procedures, and protocols of the KSC
radiology department. Understands and applies technical principles
affecting optimal production of radiographic images, as well as
anatomical orientations and anomalies affecting proper positioning.
Understands age related communication needs of patients and is able
to effectively convey instructions to patients to facilitate the
performance of mammographic, stereotactic, and or DEXA. Maintains
an individual repeat rate of - Participates in Technical Quality
Control measures which include performance of routine equipment
maintenance and reporting malfunctions or variances of performance
of all equipment to the appropriate supervisor or his/her designee
in the supervisor's absence. Able to perform mammography quality
control tests, determine compliance with established standards and
document results, instituting corrective action and/or suspend
performing studies if necessary to maintain compliance with
established standards. Maintains required documentation of quality
assurance activities. Should be familiar with service arrangements
for equipment - Maintains necessary supplies and documentation of
cleaning logs as applicable - Uses RIS system correctly, according
to Clinic and Department guidelines and properly documents, for the
radiologist's review, atypical conditions which could affect image
quality. Utilizes proper protocols for data entry functions.
Demonstrate competence in linking follow up studies to initial
study using the RIS system - Conscious of radiation safety measures
and demonstrates competence in the selection and use of shielding
devices as is age appropriate for the patient or as requested when
study content will not be compromised. - Utilizes sterile technique
when applicable for invasive procedures - Participates in formal
and in service training programs of Kelsey-Seybold Clinic,
department specific in services, and any applicable site-specific
training. Maintains current applicable licenses and/or
certifications and complies with continuing education requirements
necessary to maintain same. May be assigned to other duties,
technical or non-technical if training, experience, and credentials
are deemed adequate by supervisor to perform those duties -
Interacts effectively with patients and coworkers, including staff
assigned to other locations. Communicates readily and well with
Supervisor and Radiologists in giving and receiving feedback. Must
have the ability to understand and respond to questions by giving
factual information. Capable of dealing effectively with other
clinic departments, physicians, and staff. Uses the Mission and
Values as a guideline for all communications, verbal, written, or
electronic - Works with Supervisor, Corporate Services, On-site
Services, and/or Account Managers to determine mobile travel
schedules and site-specific needs. Works closely with Scheduling
Department to help fully utilize resource. Keeps Supervisor updated
regarding resource schedule and the mobile travel schedule. -
Drives mobile mammography coach from Main Campus to assigned
location, performs 2D and 3D mammograms, returns to Main Campus,
sends images to PACS system, and secures mobile unit at end of day.
Works with Facilities to schedule routine vehicle cleaning. Stocks
clean linen supplies on mobile unit and disposes of dirty linen -
Works with Facilities Department to assure vehicle scheduled
maintenance is completed. Works with Supervisor to schedule
resource downtime for vehicle preventative maintenance. Utilizes
company credit cards to fuel mobile coach and maintains applicable
credit card and vehicle service records. Reports vehicle
maintenance concerns to Supervisor - In conjunction with the
Supervisor, serves as primary contact for mobile coach questions,
issues, and upcoming mobile events. Coordinates equipment
preventative maintenance and service and prioritizes workflow and
staff assignments in order to maximize utilization. Serves as
mobile coach trainer and actively works to create a team
environment and seeks opportunities to enhance team development.
Properly utilizes troubleshooting techniques and reporting
processes. Assists with overseeing compliance, inspections,
accreditation, and maintenance concerns. Reports employee training
and performance concerns to Supervisor You'll be rewarded and

you may be interested in. Required Qualifications: - High School
diploma or GED from an accredited program - Graduate of an AMA
approved school of Radiologic Technology. - 40 hours mammography
training approved by the ARRT to meet the minimum initial FDA & TDH
requirements for mammographers - ARRT (R)(M) MRT- General
Certificate - BCLS certification through the American Heart
Association - 3 years of experience in mammography or 2-year KSC
experience - Experience in mammography quality control - Working
knowledge of mammography quality assurance measures and
accreditation requirements - Demonstrated ability to use computer
keyboard - Proven excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal
skills - Willing or ability to travel with mobile mammography coach
to any location (within the Houston area) as scheduled - Valid
Texas Driver's License - Insurable driving record Preferred
Qualifications: - Associates Degree in Radiologic Technology -
Experience performing stereotactic guided breast biopsies and/or
DEXA - RIS experience - Bilingual - Commercial Driver's License Pay
is based on several factors including but not limited to local
labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. In
