expertise! Job Summary and Qualifications The Registered Nurse
Float Pool delivers professional nursing care to
population-specific patients on the Acute Inpatient Units to
include, Acute Care Medicine, Acute Care Telemetry, Acute Care
Cardiac, Acute Care Cardiopulmonary, Chest Pain, Neuroscience,
Neuro-Stroke, Neuro Spine, Observation, Ortho Surgical Trauma,
Post-Surgical. Follows the Board of Nursing’s (BON) Standards of
Nursing Practice utilizing the nursing process in care delivery.
Maintains accountability for professional decisions and actions
within the parameters of their legal scope of practice and in
accordance with the federal, state, and local laws; rules and
regulations; and policies, procedures and guidelines of Gulf Coast
Division (GCD). What You Will Do In Your Role: - You will plan and
prioritize age and specialty appropriate care of each patient
assigned by communicating relevant information to appropriate
healthcare professionals - You will competently and accurately
complete age appropriate comprehensive physical and psychosocial
assessment of patients; takes nursing history assessment to
identify nursing diagnosis/patient care needs - You will evaluate
the patient/family response to, and outcome(s) of, implemented care
and modifies the plan of care accordingly - You will implement and
direct care, using the nursing process with emphasis on the needs
of individual patients - You will promote, initiate or coordinate
interdisciplinary care provision in an open communication system
with patients, nursing personnel, physicians, clergy, and with all
other persons who influence patient progress What qualifications
you will need: - Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within
30 days of employment start date - (RN) Registered Nurse -
Associate Degree, or Bachelors Degree - 1 year RN Medical/Surgical
experience an an acute care setting - RN IMCU experience in an
