The division is a comprehensive network of hospitals, outpatient surgery centers, emergency centers and diagnostic imaging facilities in greater Houston, Corpus Christi and South Texas. Facilities include: 17 hospitals, nine ambulatory care centers, 13 off-campus emergency centers, and a regional transfer center.What you will do in this role:

• Accurately assesses patient acuity and assigns appropriate triage level.
• Identifies and prioritizes patient needs and accomplishes them in an organized, timely manner.
• Collaborates with physicians to provide appropriate plan of care.
• Places equal emphasis on quality and compassion in caring for patients.
• Actively participates in solving problems on the unit to improve process issues as well as patient flow.
• Oversees all aspects of patient care, coordinates diagnostic tests and treatments to ensure timely care of patient and movement through the Emergency Department.
• Provides for maximum patient safety at all times. Qualifications What qualifications you will need:
  • Graduate of an Accredited School of Nursing
  • Current TX RN licensure -
  • 1 year Emergency Department experience preferred
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Basic Life Support Course (BLS or BCLS) and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) Course and Certification
  • American Red Cross or American Heart Association Advanced Life Support Course (ALS or ACLS) and Certification
  • TNCC - Recommended within 1 year of hire -
