Job Descriptionjob summary:Our healthcare client is currently seeking an Insurance Verification Specialist. In this role, you will verify insurance coverage for patients and referrals, as well as calculate benefits and patient monetary responsibility.

responsibilities:Verify insurance information for patients and referralsResponsible for updating insurance information for existing patientsDetermines patient co-payments and calculates co-insurance and deductibles for both facility and other services.Call to obtain pre-authorization for recommended services and proceduresExplain to patients what their financial responsibilities will beInform relevant clinical staff about denialsAnswer questions related to billing and insuranceMeet productivity goals

skills:CPT & ICD10 coverageMedical billing, coding, and collections experience is a plus

qualifications:Insurance verification experience is requiredPatient medical terminologyInsurance calculations of patient responsibility experience is required
